I don't think I ever had a bad meal in a diner, In my area we always went there for a Homemade meal. I remember Hot Beef Sands, Real mashed potatoes and gravy, hot turkey dinner, stuffed cabbage, and everything from Spaghetti and meat sauce to burgers and fries.......I remember having Liver and onions on my menu in the 80's and 90's, it was always the old farmers that would come back to the kitchen and thank me.............

Ahh you have been luckier than me or I am more demanding. I have had lots of mediocre diner meals. Average mashed potatoes, so so turkey, ok burgers. But occasionally you find a great one and it keeps one searching.

David_ NYC, if anyone can tell us who makes the Kirkland dogs for Costco, it's you.
And while I'm at it, I believe that if a company has a proprietary brand, why not just call it by the company name? Who was Kirkland? Why not just call it Costco's and be done with it?

Many stores have house brands.It's a common practice. A&P,has Ann Page for example, and there are countless dozens more!!! Maybe they think it looks classy,or some people are too out of it to realize it's a house brand, or maybe it just looks better than a generic!!

Costco Headquarters used to be located in Kirkland, Washington..................They are located in Issaquah Washington now...........Would you rather have a Kirkland dog or a Issaquah dog.................

Thanks for the confidence, but I'm not so sure I could teach them a thing or two. However, I would be curious to know what hot dog experience the person calling the Hot Dog shots at Costco has.
I'd also be curious to know how sales compare after this transition to Kirkland dogs. I've heard many a hot dog discussion that included a paean to the great Hebrew National Frankfurter & Soda combo deal offered at Costco's.
And come to think of it, Issaquah sounds so much cooler than Kirkland.
Well, I'll just have to try this Kirkland dog and report back.
