Do you use coupons when grocery shopping?

All time. I get the grocery ads in Saturdays paper and plan Sundays shopping trip matching any coupons to sale items. I don't understand people who claim not too have time to clip coupons. It takes less than 5 minutes. I've had big savings with coupons, plus the stores double in this area.

I clip coupons regularly - it's a great "sit in front of the TV" activity.  It's like throwing away money for 5-10 minutes work. It also does get me to try some new products when they have a good offer.

If I get one for something I want.  And if they're REAL coupons and not the BS online crap that installs spyware on your machine and inundates your email with spam from various companies to which they sell your information.

I use manufacturer coupons whenever I can, but usually only ones for brands I normally buy.  If there is a coupon for a brand-new product, I may try it if the product sounds like something I might like and the brand is one I consider reliable. (In my lifetime, I have tasted too much "garbage" that wasn't worth eating even if it was free!  There are a couple of major companies who put a lot of textured vegetable protein in most of their "meat" products, so as to use less meat.)  As far as store coupons go, I will use them only if they are really a saving.  (We have one store which puts a lot of coupons in their ads, but most of the coupons just bring their price down close to what everyone else charges as a regular price.  I am sure they fool a lot of people who don't keep track of area prices.)

If you don't use coupons you're  paying too much at the grocery store.

I only use them if the wife tapes them to my forehead.

She uses them all the time.  BOGO + coupon = transcendental shopping.

I bring coupons with me when I shop. Some day I hope to finally remember to present them at checkout.

I used to always forget, too.  Then I started putting them in my wallet right next to either my money or debit card, whichever I was going to use to pay.  A friend of mine uses that putty-like stuff you're supposed to hang posters with and attaches them to the item the coupon is, but that was always way too much work for me.

Excellent idea. I just put the coupons I forgot to turn in yesterday in my wallet, right with my debit card.

Thank you.

Seldom, if ever. I never look at the grocery store circulars that trash up my mailbox, I just toss them with the rest of the crapola.

We occasionally use grocery coupons, but more typically items that must rely on coupons are typically either way over priced and/or just crap.   We find coupons for restaurants are similar in that I've rarely ever had desire to return to a restaurant where I've used them.

mjambro is correct: most coupons are for items most of us would never otherwise buy and certainly don't need. If you restrict your coupon use to items you would buy anyway, you'll be way ahead of the game.
