First it's the chains, then they'll start messing with the mom and pops... Unless you live under a rock, you pretty much know what your getting yourself into.

The NYS Restaurant Association appealed the original local decision to the federal court cited above. The NYS Restaurant Association will again appeal this decision, per cable news channel NY1.

All this information is available on the net. I don't want to see when I go in there with a plan of being unhealthy. If you are fooling yourself that a small fries should only be 100 calories or so, you probably also think you look the same as you did in high school.

This is just ridiculous. I also heard Georgia is trying to pass a bill that would not allow us to serve over weight people. These politicians are out of control.

I can just envision it: Rotund couple sneak down an alley, knock on a door, and give the secret password when the little window opens. Kind of like this: The password for the day is "lard".

I think that restaurants having to post this info is a good thing, Sure, people have a pretty good idea what they're getting into when they order fairly obvious items like a "Quad Stacker" or a "Loaded Pizza Skins", but there are menu items that may seem sound healthy, but are loaded with fat, salt and calories. I like the idea that I have more control over what is going into my body by knowing exactly what is in it. I can't imagine why a large chain would have an issue with this. It's good PR for them even if it's forced on them. It'd be nice to have it at the mom and pop places too, but I fear it might put a sizable dent in their profit margins, leading some to close.

What do we expect? This is the nation that spends millions on anti-tobacco stuff, and has basically outlawed smoking.....yet continues to subsidize the growers.
