Covection Oven Mon, 12/6/10 7:53 PM (permalink)
Here is a pic of a nice convection oven I bought, I had promised my wife it, then I had a guy who deals in commercial kitchen equipment want to buy it. My wife got mad but I've been off these last six weeks looking after her and the new baby.  The guys Tech couldn't wire it to make it go so I ended up bringing it home,  I thought I would look at it as it has a manual overide, and after I rewired it to single phase - it started up!! Im going to bulid a kitchen stadium right in my garage!!

That's a fine-looking piece.  What do you like to cook in that thing?

Well we went to Washington DC in July, and they had Julia Childs kitchen on display, she had bought a commercial 6 burner range and put it in. I bought one for my wife then I saw this oven , I thought it would go in our kitchen but I only ever saw a front view of it and its huge! She has  a 30 quart mixer  so Im expecting great things now! She was really mad at me trying to sell it. I carried off a couple of fryers and pannini grills to the scrap yard today brought in about $100, all a bit rough looking, mixed stainless scrap is bringing 20c a pound here. Getting pretty low on metal now though. Sold a 4 burner range, 36 inch griddle , a 24 " broiler last friday to a restaurant supply company, made a couple of hundred. Couldnt work while I was off (family leave) and now my trailers health permit is out so I cant sell out of it. Just got to get another $150 up and I can be selling again! Its a vicious cycle though, I get enough up and another bill comes in , christmas isnt even thought of yet and I know its getting close.
