Cowboy Nachos... toped w/ BBQ, interesting!

I went to a kinda new BBQ place in West Tawakoni Tx. called "Big D's". I ordered what they called Cowboy Nachos. It was chips, cheddar cheese, BBQ briskit, lettice, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and a glob of sour cream. Not bad! I might try making some with jack cheese and they might also be good w/ pulled pork? Anyone ever tried anything like this? I was told it was a popular item for kids to order at this place. Joe

my wife and her frienda make nachos out of left over pulled pork all the time. They love it. Never have tried it with brisket, but I"m sure that it would work.

Firefly's BBQ in Marlboro, Mass makes something similar. It is their homemade crunchy style potato chips topped with pulled pork, coleslaw and jalapeno slices. I think they may even have put shredded cheese on it. I used to get it every time we used to go there, and sometimes went there just to get it. Wow...excellent Q there. I had forgot about them until I saw this thread. If anyone is near there, I do suggest a stop in there. http://www.fireflysbbq.com/

Most of the Memphis BBQ joints have been serving these for as long as I can remember. They top it with pulled pork, cheese sauce, BBQ sauce and jalapenos. I LOVE the stuff.

I played with those nachos a couple of years ago as a potential new product for my place. Could never produce one that knocked my socks off so I gave up on the idea. May have to play some more.

I might be out of sync, but when did Nashville, get the Predators, unless it is the farm league. Sorry to hijack, (IF I get an answer here) Didnt know that Nashville has hockey? Of course, I traveled and hockey took a hiatus for a year, so I may be a bit hazy on who has who now as far as hockey.

FYI: The Predators have a beautiful arena built for them. Definately NHL. Located right on Broadway almost across from the Ryman Auditorium and very close to Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Great food located around the area. http://www.nashvillepredators.com/index2.html Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Well, they've been playing here since 1998, so perhaps you've been out of it for longer than you realize... Here's a link to a team timeline... http://www.nashvillepredators.com/team/history/Timeline.asp I guess so.. I was so out of touch for the 7 years that I took care of my mom, who had Alzheimers... I am just now getting back into the "world" as of last year.. since she passed on. If I didnt know they defeated my beloved Red Wings in the 3rd game on April 11th, 2004,, then I surely was out of touch.... That just so happened to be my moms last birthday. Thanks for the timeline...
