Cricket's Car Hop

Hello All, I am new to this site and I am here for a specific reason. I would appreciate any and all help I can get from everyone out there. My father-in-law is from Connecticut and I have heard story after story about Cricket's Car Hop where, according to him, they had the best hotdogs. I know they are closed but I was hoping to get some information from people who have been there in the past. I was trying to find out what brand of hotdogs they used, what kind of buns, how they cooked the dogs and if they toasted the buns...how? We went back to Connecticut last year on vacation and he took us to where Cricket's used to be...he was very sad! I would love to be able to give him a little piece of the Connecticut childhood he remembers so well! Thank you so much in advance! I don't even know if I am allowed to do this on this site or if I am posting this to the right area...any help would be appreciated. Thank you again.
