We just returned from a week in the Orlando area. On our way home we stopped in St. Augustine and found a Florida chain called "Crispers". Their specialty is at least 10 homemade soups + chowders & gumbos daily, freshly made sandwiches and the largest, freshest salads I have ever seen-about 20 varieties of salads and lots of homemade dressings. My companion said the sandwich was super and on freshly baked bread. It seems they are expanding to Georgia-hope they continue to move "north"! If you are in Florida, I don't think you will be disappointed!!

We're getting a Crispers down the street in a few months. Crispers is owned by the very fine Publix Supermarkets chain.

Webpage and menu look pretty good-i,d give it a shot---now if they can keep the quality high while expanding--"the bane of the chain"--- it would be nice!

The web page is bogus so, as of 12/4/2005, try:
          http://www.crispers.com/

Let me know if it was as good as we found it to be in 2003!
