Crown Candy Kitchen Owner Dies Wed, 03/30/05 10:01 AM (permalink)
George Karandzieff, the second generation owner of Crown Candy Kitchen in Saint Louis, passed away Easter Sunday. Link to obituary is:

Luckily, there are third and fourth generations ready to carry on the family run establishment. If only Clark Griswald had turned onto St.Louis Avenue and found Crown Candy, his family vacation stop in Saint Louis would have been much better, though a lot less funny.

Sad to hear. I was just there last week and had a chili tamale followed with a strawberry sundae. Bought a couple of chocolate Easter monkeys for gifts. The place was a madhouse with all of the Easter sales. When we left, the line was down the street.
