Oh, I like their biscuits. I just don't like them enough to drive 30 or 60 miles to get one.

I'm with you...we happen to have two Hardee's here in town. I don't think they are particularly thriving, though.

We have a number of Carl's Jr. a.k.a. Hardees-West here in DFW.  And most serve the Hardee's biscuits and 'sausage-rich' gravy.

But, here's my very favorite thing about this company:

My daughter worked at a Culver's while in high school. The franchise owner was making so much money I don't think it would be worth the bother to open for breakfast.

The Culvers in our area is hyper-involved in community service stuff as a benefactor of it's success as a FF outlet. Little League, School teams, Scouts, Lions/Optimist/Rotary all have plaques and photos all over the place...plus several scholarships to the HS each year. I am sure that contributes to the positive response to the place by folks around here.
I do like the Burgers and more so the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. The FF are crinkle cut and nothing special...but the custard adds a special treat to a burger lunch, fer sure !!
In this Walleye-free area, when they have their seasonal Walleye sandwiches I do get them as the fish is outstanding !!

My former across the street neighbor in Minnesota owned all the Hardees franchises in the upper Midwest out to Montana. He moved to Montana. I don't know if he retired or sold. The closest to where I live closed. Now there are very few and I would have to travel 30 miles to get to one. They are pretty much off my radar now.

Where I live there are three within 20 minutes or so from my house, we only eat hardees once or twice a year, usually in the morning before vending at Wild West Days Memorial weekend.
