Curlywurly - Not A Marathon Bar

I finally broke down and bought some Cadbury curlywurly bars.  They were slightly less than a buck apiece on Amazon.

They have a good taste, and the caramel is much thicker than a Caramello bar, or even something like a Rolo.  It was kind of warm when they got delivered, so I cant slide them out of the wrapper, I have to cut the wrapper open.

I really have no memory of the taste or texture of the Marathon bar, but these are a nice substitute.  And only 115 calories per bar.

Looks awfully good and cute too! FYI, Vermont Country Store also sells many interesting candies and other foods. Very reliable company, to my experience. Guess all those holes cut down on the calories . Don't recognize the name. I was born in 1960. Wonder when it was popular.

Stick them in the fridge for a few minutes and they'll peel easily.

69 cents each at the Wegman's in Columbia if you ever  make it out that way.  A nice treat that doesn't break the calorie bank.

I just ordered more from Amazon for 68 cents each, but I'm very impatient.

Good to know Wegman's has them, I'll have to check Hunt Valley, or Owings Mills whenever they open.

I do get to the Columbia one now and then.

    Thanks for the heads up!!

I never had a Maraton bar in America but I enjoyed a few Wig Wags (Canadian version of the Curly Wurly & Marathon ) many years ago.

I'm gonna order some Curly Wurly bars after Lent is over & I can eat candy again.

    That's 2 WW points well-spent.
