There are indeed a bunch of great burger places in DC. Much competition abounds.

I really like the burgers at Clyde's. Over all, the best in the city, IMO.

I'm definately losing my love affair with Five Guys as they've franchised and moved all over the eastern seaboard. The reviews from users here show little hope that franchising was a good thing.

I hate that the poll included franchise chains like BK and McD. Horrible! And Clyde's wasn't even on the list. Don't they read the Top 10 Burger list that the Post publishes?  Arrgh. Article was ok, but the poll was crap.

Tried Ray's Hellburger.  One word....OUTSTANDING!!!  Everything a burger should be, and considering the hype, downright inexpensive.
I went with the:  Soul Burger (The Hardest Working Burger In Chow Business)
Applewood Smoked Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Cognac and Sherry Sauteed Mushrooms, Grilled Red Onions. $8.95
Burger Babe, I can't believe we disagree on something
