I'm probably going to be visiting Dayton and Xenia, OH next Friday and Saturday.  Where are some good places to eat?
I'm stopping on the way home Saturday night and having dinner at Schmidt's Sausage Haus in Columbus.  I love that place.

Not much in Xenia. Nick's ( is a local bar but has way above average food. The only things here that go from freezer to fryer are the cheese stick appetizers, everything else is made fresh in their kitchen. The fried mushrooms are great, and the Big Nick burger is as good as any burger in the Dayton area.
If you like Mexican, Acapulco is very good. Los Mariachis is very bland.
There is a sports bar called Willie's but I do not recommend it. Below-average bar food and mediocre service.
Other than that, there are a few crappy chain places. Avoid Applebee's and Rooster's if you want a good meal, they are pathetic.

+1 on Troni's. It's my favorite also, we were there Saturday afternoon to celebrate my retirement.
I just gave the OP a rundown on Xenia, what little there is.

In Dayton it's the Pine Club for me.

Oh, and enjoy a Bahama Mama at Schmidt's.

Can't beat a Bahama Mama, potato pancakes and a cream puff.......YUM!  Last time we were there we met up with buffetbuster and Mariton.  The wait was about 45 mins. but well worth it.  Enjoy!
            (Of course buffetbuster got the........buffet!)
