Delco PA cheesesteak +1 tour Tue, 10/9/07 11:06 AM (permalink)
This weekend Cheesewit was kind enough to travel around with some of the Eatingteam and our new friend Akavar and show us some great places for Cheesesteaks and other great foods in Delaware County, PA

Thanks again Cheesewit,

Tony

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA CHEESESTEAK + 1

THUNDERBIRD CHEESESTEAKS AND PIZZA
2323 W CHESTER PIKE, BROOMALL,PA

This place is a great find in the Delaware County. Friendly people, great food and great service. Cheesesteak with American and fried onions is the recommended dish here. They also have pretty good wings and milkshakes as well. We started and ended our tour with these guys . We always like to end a tour with a good milkshake to fill in the cracks of whatever space is left in your belly.

BOCELLA’S
37 W EAGLE RD, HAVERTOWN,PA

Huge 2lb steaks here. Maybe not the best you will ever have but for the money this is a huge decent steak. Definitely get extra cheese on this guy. With so much meat you don’t want it to dry out before you eat it.

LEO’S
1403 CHESTER PIKE, FOLCROFT, PA

Almost unfinishable! The whole is enough for two people or more. Very good steak but no place to eat it. There is a park near by that you can sit down and eat but no seats inside. This is always mentioned when speaking about Delco steaks.

LA FORNA
831 N PROVIDENCE RD, MEDIA,PA

Solid steaks. We got ours with Prov. Here. Also ordered up some of the brick oven pizza to help wash down our steaks with.

A CUT ABOVE
3523 W CHESTER PIKE, NEWTOWN SQUARE,PA

This is not a cheesesteak but a roast pork sandwich. It is so good that while out here…
This is served on a Sarcone roll and is one of the best we have had.

A pleasure to turn you on to the places we visited.

Our next tour will include hot dogs, hamburgers, ovals (unique to a specific restaurant and a cousin to New Orleans' Muffalettas), and pizza/tomato pie.

Sounds great but the eating team has got to invest in a digital camera.

I don't even run the eatingteam website, one of our other members has to because I am clueless...

You could also use photobucket.com (Free website) sign up, then you can copy/paste the image tags in html (they will have a text box prefaced with IMG) to the post, and the pictures will show up that way as well.

You tease me, Tony. There are not many pictures on your website, either. My internet mind can not handle this text only application. There have been some good instructional "how to post pictures" forums here. Really easy to follow. I started posting them a few weeks ago. I am still planning my own food trip for some good pics. Let us know if you ever go as far south as B'more. That would be worth the drive for me.
