I covered the northern part of that route this summer on my New England tour (which I haven't yet posted on!). In Derry, I really liked the fried belly clams at Clam Haven:

The clams were a tad greasy, but still very briny and crunchy. Some fried onion rings were thrown into the mix, but they were just okay.

In Brattleboro, we enjoyed a stop at Amy's Bakery:

It's a nice place to stop for a coffee and pastry. The sourdough bread we got there was very tasty and crusty.

By the way, Clam Haven's last day of operation for the year is Sunday, October 3. Here's their webpage:

They seem to be pushing their clam strips, but why get strips if belly clams are available?

When are you going?  I'll be in that area October 11-12, and part of my route coincides with the portion of yours between B and D.  If your trip is after mine, I'll be happy to post my best finds.  If your trip is before mine, I'm collecting suggestions (see the thread called Another route through New England)....

I'm going next week.  If I make a discovery, I'll report back.
