Well, you can always pick a "best of" even from garbage.  Doesn't change the fact it's still garbage.  Just the best of the garbage.

Personally I prefer a worm riddled apple core to a festering banana peel.

    Here's the slide show: LINK

I'd say they hit things pretty much right on (I strongly disagree with #11) but I feel they did a pretty good job.

Actually, most of this stuff looks pretty tempting. Then again, I haven't eaten dinner yet and I'm very hungry.

Living in a state which is generally considered to be overloaded with fast food chains, I noticed that other than the major chains, hardly any of these places have much of a presence here. Odd. Maybe we only get the worst of the fast food chains.

These guys seem to adhere to the "Thumper The Rabbit Rule", "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".

They seem to find something nice in every corporate chain  befouling our landscape.

    Cheers, John

Vermont doesn't have any billboards or road signs, either, so even if a Dairy Queen did open up somewhere, who'd know?

    (Boy, I like Vermont!!  )

Can you get good NY style pizza pies in that state?

Yes, I was utilizing just a bit of hyperbole.  But I do feel pretty strongly about White Castle in general, and their double cheeseburgers (hell, and onion chips) in particular.

And just as I automatically discount the opinions of anyone who says that they don't like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin, I likewise sort the musings of anyone who says that White Castle sucks into a sort of mental "This Person Obviously Has No Taste, Either Figuratively or Literally" file.

Plus, it's true that White Castle haters crush the heads of newborn kittens.  It is.

Actually not that bad a list. But no sweet potato fries or Walla Walla Sweet Onion rings from Burgerville is a glaring omission.

Surprised to see they had Taco Cabana on there, glad it wasn't Taco Bell,TC has a better variety. Most of the choices were the standard out fits, but that Boston's roast beef sure looked awful good.

I have noticed a great deal of negativity/sarcasm on this fast food topic. Some of us do enjoy fast food, suggestion why don't you take your holier-than-though attitude to the surf-n-turf forum? Please don't insult the rest of us that enjoy this type of dining. Thank you

Here here!! Although I do understand both sides. I get not wanting to support large chains, especially since to me true Roadfood is from the "Mom & Pop" shops, that is what is so special and enchanting about them...not being able to get that certain something anywhere else. That aside...sometimes there are no other good options, certainly at late hours. And to prove a point...there is nothing...absolutley nothing wrong in enjoying a dripping 2x4, Animal Style from In-N-Out if you're lucky enough to have one near you. And I'll take a DQ Blizzard for dessert any day of the week
