Dicks Bodacious BBQ in Indiana Sat, 12/24/05 7:11 PM (permalink)
We tried it carry out last night for the first time. I had the beef brisket and they wife had BBQ chicken. We were both pleased! Dick's claims to be a Texas style BBQ that is more of a smoked meat and they serve the sauce on the side. Around here most BBQ is smothered in sauce but this was real good eating. I ate about half of it without sauce to get the taste for it and I liked it, very tender and flavorful. I then started dipping the brisket into their sauce and found it very good also.

My wife liked her chicken. They chop it and put it in a foam carry out box. We both got a Texas baked potato, very large and good! Dick's Bodacious BBQ started out selling in a parking lot a few years ago and now has just a few locations around central Indiana. I have read that they are starting to sell franchises and going to expand, hope they stay true!

OOPS! We got our carry out in Anderson Indiana, right along what they call "the bypass" you know, the by-pass that has all of the good food joints! They have locations in Indianapolis, Fishers and Noblesville and maybe other places now.

We spent less than $12 total for two meats and two Texas Potatoes. They are open till they close and I don't know what time that is!

      MERRY CHRISTMAS,
      Butch
