We had well over 45 kids. We ran out of candy about 7:30. The wife gave out quarters after that. My plea to give out penny's fell on deaf ears.

We used to give out nickels when we ran out. I guess inflation is everywhere!

Just wanted to share a picture of my grusome twosome. My daughter is American Magee's Alice, from a video game where the heroine is a dark version of Alice in Wonderland. My son is a crypt keeper. There was a time when my kids were princesses or puffy green dinosaurs. That went out the window the year Emily decided to be something really scarey, a salesman. Oh well, at least they have fun!
My oldest daughter is content to give out the candy. We had a good time. Our dog and cat thought the pumpkins were new toys!

We supervised the distribution of the treats at my Daughter's home in Baraboo, Wisconsin, while she and her husband took their kids out to raid the neighborhood.
We have next to NO Trick or Treaters at our rural Indiana home, so working a crowd that ran well over 400 visitors was something new to us. It was a fun evening, a bit cool as the Sun set, but everyone seemed to be well-mannered and enjoying the evening out !

Thanks , Here is Janet with our two grandaughters next to her, and the neighbor ninja and princess working with our kids in the distribution of treasure.

Baileys, my night sounded much like yours. At one time I counted 20+ kidos trading their treisures on my living room flour. The kids seamed to have a great time. My main job was to make sure everyone stayed safe. All made it through safe n sound.  Me???  Well... kinda like you said. *&^#@ Thanks for the well wishes!
