Kind of an oxymoron. They are a name brand, just not a very good one.

Looks like yer still looking for a cheap brand. Go to your local grocery stores and see what people are buying, on the shelf....see what they are getting low on. Ask the butcher what he restocks the most of.
In my area there is a local brand, made locally, that everybody knows by name. A large % of the people will only eat that brand. By the 10 # case they cost me 15 cents a piece. I sell them for $2.00 on a 16 cent bun. Most want chili, which I spend a bit on to make it the best around. I use a 1/2 oz. ladle for that. A head of cabbage costs me $1.50 at the most. I use the local favorite Mayo for my slaw, which costs a little more but it gives it the familiar, quality flavor.
But I also serve Nathan's, which I think nobody else around here does. At one location I sell them for 50 cents more. They cost me about .35 more. Another location I sell them for the same price as the other. I sell more of the Nathan's when I charge more.
Also, be looking at sausages. So many to choose from, all kinds of quality and prices. Here, people ask for a sausage dog and probably don't know one from another. So I shop around and test different ones.I always have what I consider the best on hand, but keep some cheaper ones that are bigger. I "read" the customer and suggest accordingly. I see so many good sausages ruined by what they want on them. I save my good smoked brat's for those who want peppers and onions and give the cheap polish sausage to Bubba who wants chili, etc on it......hope this helps.

Mr. Blake.
I don't know if you are in business yet, but if you cut corners on your products like you do on your posts by not bothering to capitalize when you should, then I suggest you pay more attention to detail. Sorry, it irritates me and paints a picture in my head of you.

no sweat. I cant really compair mine to others, because I dont know anyone else with my condition. I am a type 2 diabetic with retinopothy. I used to have a auto spell corrector on my computer but it just made thing worse by assuming what I was typing. and yes, it did make a ass out of you and me. I was getting strange email replys and counldnt figure out what was happening. I plan on getting a really nice dog cart with my disability. just for extra money and something to do once and a while.

Im not looking for a cheep brand.  I don't know anything about Hoffy and just need to know the quality.  I live an hour away from any grocery store or Costco so am doing most of my research online til I have gas money to blow.  I defiantly want a good quality dog.  I cant serve a dog I cant eat and I cant stand those kinds of dogs. I am brand new at this, getting my cart this weekend, I am just searching for a good quality dog that wont break me when I first start. Im still feeling out my locations, I have in mind.  All I know as of now that Nathens and Hebrew are top

If 20 bucks worth of gas is going to break you, so that you can do some research for your business, so that you will have some knowledge of what's good and what's not you will never make it.
How are you going to afford to buy your opening stock, health permit, business license, insurance?
Vail looks to be 30 min from Tuscon, am I wrong or are you somewhere else?
Where are you going to sell? If you don't have a grocery store where your at, you certainly don't have enough people to support your hot dog cart.
If your going to drive an hr each way to civilization, how are you affording the gas then?
Just some thoughts.

It's because they're political. Everyone knows that when you use the word generic in connection with hot dogs you're pushing a point of view that is politically incorrect.

I didn't know that. Good thing we have a hall monitor....like Bobby Brady to save ourselves from such....stuff.

I bet I get flagged now...for "not knowing nothing"

I don't think anyone means to be mean. This or any business comes with risk and a need to research make sound business decisions...starting at a somewhat comfortable place financially. You will need that shi**ty car to haul. You should test products before making decisions...and will need much more upfront funds...before you make a dime.
