Dog Beds...latest consumer complaint, mine! Tue, 01/12/10 4:15 PM (permalink)
We have 2 Shipoos, both just turned 1 yr. old, they are adorable, and when really riled up, they could possibly bruise a Butterfly. We just bought them a bed from PETSMART, it lasted about a week, must have been made in my favorite export country, China. I cannot believe the constant crap that is being foisted on the public, I cannot believe we still buy it. If a manufacturer cant construct a doggie bed that the fierce Shipoo breed cannot rip apart in 2 bites, then we all deserve Chef Boyardee products as our only means of nourshiment. Any suggestions on a Dog bed that lasts?

didn't you hear??  chef boyardee products now have a FULL serving of VEGETABLES in them!!

(not!!  it's false advertising - which is supposed to be illegal)

i'm in complete agreement about stuff made in china - i avoid buying unless i really, really, need something and can't find what's needed that's been made elsewhere!

I sold zippered things at my pet store that you stuffed w/ cedar chips. The cedar scares away fleas. Those worked good. My dog now just has a throw rug that he likes.

Pet Smart was my biggest customer for Rubbermaid products. Their buying department needs help I think. There are lots of products they should carry but don't. I'm not looking for a job but would consider a position if the price was right. :~)

We always had the LL Bean dog beds, the dog had a bed upstairs by our bed and another downstairs in the family room. They held up for 14 years, just washed the covers every few weeks.

We have two Overstuffed recliner Lazy-Boy chairs, and a recliner Loveseat (same style) in our 'family room. The two Scotties will join us on the arms of one of the chairs (Janet's preferably to them) during the evening. Then McDuff will occupy my chair and Demi will take over Janet's when we head for bed. During the day they often look like bookends on the Loveseat, with Duff at the window end and Demi facing the kitchen and rear deck door.

Duff had his own sleeping box in the bedroom when he was a pup, but his tastes changed as he grew. He will sleep under our bed if he wishes to impose an 'exile-status' for some crime he may have committed. Demi will use that hiding place during thunderstorms or nearby hunter gunfire. Loud noises really bother her.

They do like to pick out their own "Pig's Ear" doggie chew treats when we stop at PetsMart. They carry them to the register and sometimes try to sneak them out without checking out. So far we have been honest enough to pay for them each time.

This isn't on topic, but I can't remember meeting a dog I didn't like, their totally trusting, sincere, agenda free eyes, their joy of life's little things, their derermination to chew something to smithereens, lol, one has to love...among many other fantastic attributes they all possess.

You never met my dog then. He was nasty.
