While I've never been a football fan, I always enjoyed Dandy Dons' appearances on talk shows etc. as he had a likable, down-to-earth personality and a good sense of humor. Sorry to hear about his passing.

Camera panning the crowd in Philly's Veterans Stadium... Don says to Howard Cosell "Oh Look, Howard, he's giving you half of the Peace Sign" One of the all-time classic "Booth-Lines". I really enjoyed the original three... Don, Frank. and Howard. Monday Night Football isn't what it was 40 years ago !!! R I P DANDY DON, You will always be a legend to me.

Somehow it does not seem possible that he was 72. I guess he will always be Dandy Don with his folksy humor. He was great with the Cowboys although he never got a super Bowl. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

The 3 Musketeers made Monday Night Football. Dandy was a pretty good QB, but he was great in the booth. 72 is too young to go. RIP Dan you made a lot of friends in your 72 years.

I actually once watched Monday Night Football. This was only because of Don and Howard. RIP Dandy Don! Joe
