Dot's Place will live again. Sat, 11/5/05 12:23 AM (permalink)
For anyone familiar with this Austin legend, you'll be happy to know that she's cooking again!

Dot's original restaurant burned down about a year ago, and she had no insurance on the building. She vowed to rebuild, but things looked doubtful for awhile.

She's been selling meals out of a small lunch cart on her original site for a number of months now, still planning on raising enough money to build a new place. She has lots of support from her friends, family, and church, and I believe Dot's will rise again!

If anyone lives in or visits the Austin area, please stop by. You'll get some FANTASTIC food, and you'll be contributing to everything we roadfooders believe in. It's a true "meat & two" (just like the meat & three in Nashville, but one less veggie. )
