Dr. Enuf?

Anybody ever hear of this soda? There was a passing mention of it in today's NY Times and I looked it up, having never heard of it. It's apparently been around for over 60 years and is still available locally in West Virginia. It claims to be the forerunner of today's Energy Drinks. The plant that makes it is the same plant that originally made Mountain Dew before that was sold to Pepsi in the 60's and went National.

I bought some at a local store here in Pa that sells outdated, dent and bent and other off the wall grocery items. This was several years ago and I dont remember it as being very good or bad. Never saw it again after their stock ran out.

Dr. Enuf is also available in parts of western NC and eastern TN (it's bottled in Johnson City).  I usually buy some around now in 12 oz. bottles at Smith's Red & White in Dortches, NC, when I stop in for BBQ, chicken pastry and sausage for the holidays.  "Rich in Vitamins, Dr. Enuf...Is Enough."
