Does anyone here remember this chicken chain. I live in Columbus Ohio and there was a Drummer Boy fried chicken in Delaware and another one in Lancaster.

I worked for Drummer Boy when I was 15, in 1969, here in Columbus.  They opened a store on Morse Rd. at "The Patio" (along with Rax, Schmidt's, York Steak House, Western Pancake House, a pizza place and a mexican place, all whose names I can't remember now!)  They were trying to copy Burger Chef and throw in Colonel Sanders on top of it. My mother felt sorry for the manager and his wife (and 2 little kids) because they were so far from home (Kansas City) so they got a taste of REAL fried chicken at my house on Sundays!  I guess Drummer Boy was #1 in Kansas.... didn't quite fill the bill here n Columbus, tho.
