Eddie Fisher passes away

Eddie was a big, big star in the 60's. A really good voice and he sang romantic songs----great for slow dancing.  And he himself was a very romantic guy---married Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor---tough to beat that combo. 
 
There must be something women like about little, skinny singers. 
frank Sinatra and Eddie Fisher together probably didn't weigh 200 pounds-----
they must have had something that women liked----hummmmm

He seemed to disappear after Liz took a powder.

You're right CTF  by that time Elvis had all the women and Eddie's goose was cooked.

Actually, chart-wise, his biggest hits by far were in the early to mid 50's. He had some minor hits in the 60's.

Only knew Mr Fisher as Carrie's father and Liz's cuckold. Seemed a nice enough fella.

50's--60's who remembers ?  Who cares?

After they split---Elizabeth had a new guy named Burton to give her diamonds---she said Eddie never stopped singing.  All day, all over the house---Eddie sang.  Shut up, already!
 
 
 

My mother always said to never speak ill of the dead. But, I've got to say Eddie Fisher was something of a bad joke in the circles I traveled in. A minor talent, no art, no panache, and always a silly romantic sideshow - mostly the creation of a publicity machine that did him no favors in the long run.
