Howdy,

What are your opinions on Eisenberg hot dogs? Are they as good as Nathans from my local grocery? FWIW, between Nathans and Hebrew Nat'l, it's no contest: Nathans.
Soon I'll be opening a sno-cone/hotdog cart in front of a "big box" here in Bossier City, La. I might be able to get a volume deal on Eisenberg, if they'll get back in touch with me!

PS: Eisenberg isn't sold in this region.

    Larry,

Kelly Eisenberg is a Chicago based meat company that's been around since 1929. While KE sells through many retail stores, I know of only one place in the Chicago area selling their products in sandwiches: Burt's Deli in Libertyville sells their corned beef and hot dogs. I've been eating corned beef at Burts's since 1978 and have always enjoyed it. Mac's Deli in Kenosha sells Eisenberg hot dogs. I've never tried their hot dogs. They make a Steak N Frank from 100% Black Angus sirloin and beef cuts, that I'd like to try. BTW, I know someone in the hot dog business in NOLA. He's been having major difficulty obtaining product for his business since January. Best of luck to you. www.kellyeisenberg.com

Larry, I just returned from the first day of the National Restaurant Show in Chicago. Kelly-Eisenberg had a large booth where they offered free hot dogs. My wife and I sampled a Steak-N-Frank dog. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, we both rated it a 9. It was an excellent product. They even produce their own hot dog bun. Although it wasn't steamed, which is typical of a Chicago style dog, it too was excellent.
