El Cid in Paramus,New Jersey Sat, 02/1/14 12:37 PM (permalink)
Has anyone been at this place recently? Reason I ask is I finally got a chance to go back there,December of 2013,though it was early for dinner I was craving one of their 5 lb prime rib,or a 4 1/2 lb filet mignon steaks, their menu had not one steak of any kind listed, and the place has improved on decor,I didn't recognize the place! Do they still offer those huge steaks still, and has ownership changed??

I thought El Cid was a Mexican restaurant...maybe I am wrong.

I haven't been recently but I usually get the paella. You can feed a whole family with one order!!

I looked El Cid up, and it appears their menu has a strong Spanish influence. They also still serve those large steaks that feed 3-4 people. The reviews were quite good.

Those gigantic "steaks" were in the $40 range. They shifted the primary focus to tapas...most likely to stay in business.

El Cid is a Spanish (as opposed to Hispanic) restaurant; haven't been there in years, though.
