Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana S

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich * 2 slices of white bread * 2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter * 1 small ripe banana mashed * 2 tablespoons butter Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk. Please note: Elvis tended to eat 12-15 sandwiches a sitting! So belly up!

Sounds yummy!...What was the name of the cook, she was an old black woman that had worked at Graceland for years?.....I think she even had a cookbook out of The Pelvis's favorite recipes.... Got's to make a pb & banana sandwich tomorrow!.....Tom B. "still in the building" in Eastern Kentucky ..uh-huh-huh.

Don't forget the brown paper bag! You'll need it after the first bite of that revolting concoction.

Just had my Grilled PB&J last week while visiting Michigan. Favorite place is Crain's Orchard, Fennville MI, where they have a small place to eat. Grilled PB, homemade bread, cherry jelly. Side order of a Sweet Apple Cider Float! Apple Cider with a couple scoops of ice cream, great!! Don

No, Aunt Delta was Elvis's aunt. His cook, who wrote "Elvis the Way I Knew Him," was Mary Jenkins.
