C'mon Sterns..enough with the barbeque place reviews. Head back east from the Kansas Cities and lets find some decent apizzas. How about some grouper sandwiches on west coast Florida too. An area you have largely ignored.

    Those barbecue joints look great!

I'm sure that grouper sandwich reviews would be really exciting.

Roy, sit back and relax. Reviews come in waves.. I personally am sitting back and waiting for the next string of hot dog joints to come around.. But for not being a BBQ fanatic, I have to say some of the reviews are changing my mind here.. But then on the other hand, your always welcome to submit some of your own reviews! Considering this is a free site, I take them as they come.. And appreciate every review I see.

In view of the fondness that most Northerners have for Florida, I must say that it has always puzzled me why Florida seems to be a low priority for the Sterns. One would think that they would schedule a winter business trip to Florida every year. Don’t they get tired of New England snowstorms? Maybe not.

Since CN has 101 reviews on this site, and MO has 18 posted, it would seem that your comment is unwarrented. The suggestion to submit your own review is a good one. I will look forward to reading your submission.

And I feel like all they ever do is extol the virtues of Connecticut.
I appreciated MS checking out new offerings that have opened since his last visit.
I could care less if I ever hear here about Apizza again. In fact, I wouldn't mind if the whole country east of the Mississippi fell off the Earth.

                  Hello, Bill-
I think you have expressed this regional disdain before. I'm a New Yorker who lived in California and Louisiana for many years, and returned to NY because it was, ultimately, the place that felt most like home. I found good & bad people everywhere I've ever been.
Everybody has their own taste, and that's fine. But I wonder what it is that makes you feel so strongly about the eastern part of the USA. Care to clue us in? What's the deal?

Keep the BBQ coming! And, you are not that far from the Land of Enchantment. I'd love to see some more reviews of New Mexico, as well as Arizona and Colorado establishments. Colorado especially, would seem to need new submissions!

                                  In a word: no.

78 and Sunny no clouds, no humidity. NJ currently: 40 and cloudy.

This got me to thinking about the current ratio of restaurants reviewed per resident, because of what I always thought were a higher # of restaurants, relative to the population of the states. So I did what I always do: make a map! Here's my finding:

In order, the most restaurants reviewed per population are:
                                    Vermont
                                    Connecticut
                                    Maine
New Mexico (to my pleasant surprise)
                                    Montana

                                    The least:
                                    Nevada
                                    Utah
                                    Colorado
                                    Florida
                                    Michigan

Thanks for doing this! It is interesting and surprising and will be a good reference to diffuse future arguments of this type. Now I want to register my complaint about the over coverage of NM and OR relative to my state!

As someone else mentioned, it would be far more productive to add a review rather than a complaint about a lack or reviews in your area of the country.

Although a bit unpleasant to read about "you have more than me!", I did find consolation in many calming comments from our friends across this great land.
Tam, your mapping was very well done.
I enjoy discovering a lovingly prepared meal in an obscure little restaurant anyplace in the USA.
Since I'm not able to personally discover all these places, I'm pleased Roadfood Reviews take me there through the eyes of a friend on this website.

Reviewed or not, I'll be enjoying large quantities of grouper sandwiches on Anna Maria Island next month. I'll have to take some pictures to post when I get back.

Oregon is not overrepresented. I think some good citizen should write about restaurants on the I-5 corridor such as Novak"s in Albany, the Wild Goose in Ashland, Inti in Talent, Nick's in McMinnville, Scottie's Drive-in in Forest Grove, and Fairley's pharmacy in Portland, Or. I wonder where such a person could be found?

No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
                                                      They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
                                                      Africa is far too hot
                                                      And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
                                                      Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us

                                                      We'll save Australia
                                                      Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
                                                      They got surfin', too

Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
                                                      We'll set everybody free
                                                      You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me

                                                      They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now

I don't know what an NGA GA is, but my maps are made with software I utilize at work. I just plugged in the #'s of restaurants into what amounts to an Excel spreadsheet, then divided them by existing population figures, then let the mapping software do all the symbolization. It wasn't that big of a deal, took me 10-15 minutes.

I was just kidding. I don't feel anyplace is over represented. There is no such thing as too much info in my book, but many places have a lot of uncovered territory!
