I've modified my beef marinade. Gave it a try with an Eye Round, came out very good. Marinade 1/8 Cup gravy master 1/4 Cup soy sauce 1/4 Cup olive oil 1/3 Cup water 1/3 Cup dry red wine 2-3 Cloves of garlic crushed in garlic press 1/2 Small onion crushed in garlic press 1/2 Tbs Garlic salt 1/2 Tsp Ground ginger S&P To taste Mix well with mixer, put meat in gallon zip lock bag with marinade. Refrigerate for eight hours, turning occasionally.

I loved the photos! You're making my mouth water :) This looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your marinade recipe. What did you modify from your previous recipe? I'm always on the lookout for a new way to marinate beef, and this one sounds great!

My last job in the kitchen beore I had to retire physical activities due to health was sous chef at a country club. My chef was in love with eye of round and served it every chance he could. I have to admit that its a beautiful piece of meat. What a shame its so chewy.

I'm always on the lookout for a new way to marinate beef, and this one sounds great! It had enough brown sugar and parsley to turn it into a very thick paste. See my skirt steak post dated 5/1/09.

Picture perfect..As usual. The Michael Angelo of food pics! Cold the next day, sliced thin, on a great roll with a mayo horseradish sauce...... Brit - If you slice it thin..it is a terrific cut of meat IMHO.
