FIFO Dispenser Bottles Sun, 01/9/11 5:26 PM (permalink)
I'm startintg to see these used in more and more sandwich stations. They look like a great idea and easy to clean. Searching on the net, I see two different shapes and three different thicknesses, and three different standard nozles not counting the portion control ones. Has anyone had any experrience with these? Optimum combinations for vinaigrette to thicker mayo based dressings? Do they weep or are they positive in their seal when stationary?

I use them for everything. Mine are the cheap walmart kind, 10 for $10. I go thru them like crazy. I change them out in the middle of a shift for any reason, They are easly to replace.  I can cut the tip down as much as possible. My chili sauce, cheese, 1k island, you name it goes in it.

I'm not talking about the clear, Tablecraft type, mustard/catsup condiment squeeze bottles. I'm referring to the new type of bottom dispensing condiment bottles that you see used by the sandwich and coffee chains for dispensing sauces. You don't have to turn these over to use them.  Here's a link:

Yeah I know what ya talking bout :-D  The subway things. Just too expensive to run off a cart IMHO. I can cut the tip of my cheapy clear ones and save some $ Plus if I happen to melt one, I won't be too upset if I have to trash one.

They don't seem to be very expensive WD. I went ahead and ordered a dozen of the 16 oz. bottles this afternoon for just over 2.50 each and a couple of the wider and narrower caps for a buck and some change. I use the simple tablecraft clones for everything from solvents, detergents, condiments, and sauces. They have their uses, but don't do to well with viscous, particulate, or very thick dressings or sauces. Saves a lot of repetitive shaking and flipping the bottles over. We'll see in a few days if it was worth it.

Hi All, I work for FIFOBottle and just wanted to say if you have any questions about which valve or bottle size would work best with your sauces feel free to e-mail us at sales@fifobottle.com. We have a new product coming out this spring called the Portion Pal which is an improved version of our existing portion control handle. The link below is a sneak peak of the product in action.

FIFO guy, just don't spam us...  even though you aren't spam, You can't post links until you have 30 days and 30 posts.  But since this thread is about FIFO i say it's a great avenue to advertise your products especially once your days & Posts are up.
