FLO JEAN Restaurant in 1985....

I dug up this old picture of me, when I was a Consulting Chef/Mgr for the Flo Jean restaurant in Port Jervis, NY.

This was 1985..... Almost 25 years ago!!!


I really enjoyed the area on the Delaware River, Matamoras & Milford, PA.

I have eaten at Flo-Jean Restaurant. I would say the date was
1993/4. I did work in the area and usually stayed at the Best
Western just across the river in Matamoras. In that time period
I took a party of 5 or 6 to your restaurant for some occasion.
Don't remember anything else, but when I saw the name it rang a bell.
I got up to see who was at the door----oh not that bell stupid.

I sure enjoyed the area when I lived there...'83 to '87

If I remember correctly, Flo-Jean's was mainly known as a steakhouse in the 1970s - and it was very good. It was one of the very few things that made Port Jervis a "destination: - a place people would drive a 100 miles or so to visit on a Sunday outing.

I too ate there in the late 80's . Fantastic views and ambience . Good time was had by all .
I live on the other end of the county , but pass by there once in awhile on our way to the Pocono Bazaar Flea Market

I am not sure if the Flo Jean is opening for the 2009 Summer Season.

I'll try to find out if they are or not.
