Congratulations to the Bears and Colts for their big wins yesterday. Right now, the early line has the Colts approximately a touchdown favorite in the Super Bowl. Personally, I will be rooting for the Colts, since Tony Dungy is about as classy a man as there is sports today and I would love to see him finally win a championship.

I think the Bears should be extremely grateful that Super Bowl XLI will be played outdoors on grass and not inside a dome. Manning and friends are still scary but not as much as when they're in a sterile environment; they'd be double-digit favorites if that was the case this year. Speaking of math majors, apparently Reggie Bush needs to be told that when your team is trailing by 9 a touchdown isn't going to win the game or even give yours the lead, so it's best to not be pointing fingers at the other team on your way to the end zone. He's an immensely talented player but that little gesture was...well, bush. Brad

Since my Denver Broncos didn't get too far this year, I will be rooting for the AFC team no matter who they are. I hope it is a great game worthy of the name "Super Bowl". I have to work that day but will be off by gametime. I havn't been invited to a party yet but hope to be able to make my famous hot wings and home made bleu cheese dressing to take to one!

Brad_Olsen- I 100% agree with both of your points. I still think the line of the Super Bowl is going to go up and might even hit double digits. As for Reggie Bush, I was rooting for the Saints up until he taunted Urlacher. After that, I was pulling for the Bears. I know my Steelers have a few players who can do really stupid, classless things on the field (Joey Porter, for example) and I wish they would just shut up and play the game.

the Tuna has left Texas Stadium. go Pats ...er, um, the Colts. Whatever AFC team is there - I'm rooting for them. Payton Manning couldn't win a national championship (heck, he couldn't beat U of Florida) so here he is for all the marbles in the NFL. He's a good guy, so I'd like to see him pull it off.

For all you hard core Bears fans... A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Bear's game. As he sits down, a man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him. "No," he says, "the seat is empty." "This is incredible," said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Bears game, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?" He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Bears game we haven't been to together since we got married in '57." "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?" The man shakes his head. "No, they're all at the funeral." GO BEARS!!!

According to the NFL it's own self, it's DREW BREES!!! He's also a hell of a class act, too. Just ask the good people of San Diego. Is it a coincidence that his Saints got demolished by the Bears in the playoffs?

It appears that anyone going to the final dance will have to eat in the stadium. The NFL in their infinate wisdom has banned tail gateing within a one mile radius. The Miami Dolphins had nothing to do with this decision, the NFL virtuly takes over the stadium and the surronding area. Chow Jim

Go COLTS!!! Yeah, next year ought to be quite a week. The FBR Open is the same weekend as the Superbowl! Attendance for the FBR Open in Scottsdale for the week is about 1/2 million people, add in the throngs of folks coming in for "the big show" and it should make for quite a party in the desert! If ya'all have never been to the "Phoenix Open," you are missing one hell of a good time. Party wise it is supposed to be comparable to the Daytona 500, Indy 500, Kentucky Derby, etc. Might have to grab a pic or two from this year's bash... Anyway, if you're coming next year you better book your hotel rooms now! Hey, maybe I should rent my house out for the week and take the wife and kids to the Bahamas!

I have to say that I am In favor of the Colts. Years ago I enjoyed the Bears but Peyton was the Tennessee QB and did and good job and stayed four years in spite of the opportunity of going pro during his junior year. I have always enjoyed the Bears but this year I am for the Colts. Go Dungy and Manning. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Smith Knoxville, TN Are you going to me selling dogs around the Scottsdale area during the festivities and if so where? Havn't had the pleasure of eating at your wagon. Where is your usual location. I live in Wickenburg so I don't get in to the Vally too often. When I do go into PHX. it is usually for something different from what I can get here. There are NO hotdog stands or any cart foods here as we are such a small town. With the population growth in this part of AZ I think that it might be a good business opportunity. Just a thought anyway. Good luck next weekend and GO PHIL MICKELSON!!!!

Sounds to me you could make alot more money by staying here in PHX area. There aren't enough facilities for all of those people in Glendale. I know because I drive there 3 times a week for dinner from Wickenburg and there is always a wait for seating in any restaurant that I go to. As for the "FBR" Open, will you be set up in the Scottsdale or Tempe area? If so, where? I haven't eaten at your place but would like to try it out when in the area. I already drive to the Vally for dinner so what's a few more miles to help support a friend and fellow roadfooder. Good Luck next weekend and have fun! GO PHIL MICKELSON!!!

Even though I have nothing against the Bears, I will be rooting for the Colts on Sunday. Tony Dungy is universally regarded as one of the very best people in sports today and I think it would be great to see him win a Super Bowl. And I also really like Peyton Manning. I have heard several stories about the amount of work and preparation he puts in to be the best player he can be. I would like to see his hard work pay off with a ring.

As a longtime Bears fan I really want to see them win, but I also have great respect for the Colts players and coaches; they all seem to be class acts. It'd be nice for Dungy, Manning, et al to get their rings...just not this year. And I like Dungy's comment about skipping Miami and just meeting in Fort Wayne. I'm all for that. Brad

with a 6.5 spread, I picked the Colts to cover that, especially since the spread is at 7. This means if Colts win by their spread, at 6.5, I'm a winner. I'll take that half point -which is what the early low point spreading was all about - to sucker us in.

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is an Indianapolis Colts fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Colts fans, too. Not really knowing what a Colts fan was, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands flew into the air. There is, however, one exception. Susie has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Colts fan" she reports. "Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?" "I'm a Bears fan," boasts the little girl. The teacher asks Susie why she is a Bears fan. "Well, my Dad and Mom are Bears fans, so I'm a Bears fan, too" she responds. "That's no reason," the teacher says. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?" Susie smiles and says, "Then I'd be a Indianapolis Colts fan!" GO BEARS!

How about the fact that both the BCS Championship game and the Super Bowl started with the opening kickoff being run back for a touchdown. And in both cases, that team lost badly. What are the odds on that happening?
