Fantasy Football, ugh!

I don't understand it, don't want to, the significance eludes me. Any followers here or any folks agree with me. I am a huge Pro Footall fan, Redskins, who will crush Dallas tonight, no fantasy there!

I feel like I am missing out on something in some ways but I really don't see the fascination. And I do love football.

I've been playing fantasy football for almost 20 years now and it's pretty fun.  You get to be your own general manager, have to submit a roster every week, play different teams each week, trade and pick up different players and apply strategies in choosing players.  Part of the fun is bragging rights,  part of it is winning money in a variety of ways, and it gives you a little more interest in some of the other games going on (outside of your home team) when following your players on other teams as well.

With 6 field goals the Cowboys certainly put the "foot" in "football"!

Bob as been playing fantasy football for years, just like saps. He enjoys it, wins money sometimes( not a huge pull) and interacts with his cousins and others that he may not otherwise. They have a wonderful, food filled "draft" day( of which I have been hostess and cook for) and we had a ball. Its no different, to me, than any other group game or sport. You just have to understand the sport, and play it well( or not)

I got a laugh from a comic strip where a guy is telling a coworker "Well, we meet somewhere in our jerseys and pretend to...see, there's this point system based on our imaginary, um..." then he sputters "Look, I can't explain how Fantasy Football and Dungeons and Dragons are different. They just are!!"
