Farrah Fawcett - RIP Thu, 06/25/09 2:02 PM (permalink)
Just read about Farrah's passing

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090625/ap_en_tv/us_obit_fawcett

Sad that she is gone, but I am happy she is no longer suffering.

She was always my favorite "angel".

Bless her heart.  She finally lost her battle.  She was a beautiful woman with a big smile and big heart.  I absolutely idolized her when I was a kid.  May she rest in peace.

That poster was the last thing I saw going to bed, and the first thing I saw waking up in my teenage years.

Remember all the girls copying her hairstyle.......

Very sad.  She got dealt a lousy hand.  Like Edie Falco said when interviewed today, so much of surviving cancer is luck...Some have it  and some don't.

          RIP..

I was saddened by this news. Her struggle was heartbreaking to watch, but I am glad she is at rest.

That same stuggle of death from cancer happened to more than half a million people in the U.S. last year.  Hers was just more publicized than most.  About 1500 will have the same fate as hers this week.

                  Hello All,
                  She actually had class.
                  May she rest in peace.

                    Hello All,
I posted on HotDogHead's thread as well,....
she has class.  And she did.  She was beautiful,
but there was more to her than a beautiful body.
She could act.  That movie ...Burning Bed, I believe
                    was powerful.
In all honesty, I never watched Charley's Angels, but
my first wife styled her hair like Farrah.
                    Take Care,

Farrah was in a movie about the notorious oregon killer Diane Downs and gave a brilliant performance. We notice celebrity deaths more because we feel a sense of faux intimacy with them and with actors we tend to have memories of a performance that engaged us emotionally. I did not like Charlie's Angels but "The Burning Bed "and "Small Sacrifices" were chilling stories Ms. Fawcett was at her best. R.I.P.

Since her death I've read several articles from people that have told of their encounters with her and it seems she really was a golden girl - polite, pleasant and flashing that famous smile.  And she turned out to be a hell of an actress.

                          She'll be missed.

I had the privelege of meeting and speaking with her twice while working at the Fresno Convention Center in the 90s. She was gracious and polite to all. A true beauty in body and spirit.

I'll miss her much more then I will MJ.
