Fast Food Breakfast Article Mon, 12/10/07 10:14 AM (permalink)
Me, I don't like fastfood for breakfast. I had a 20oz cup of coffee and a bag of peanuts.

That is enough to turn a man off a good breakfast. I rarely do a FF breakfast. At my age, a yogurt, coffee and a little cereal does the trick.

        Yum?

I honestly can't see myself eating any of those things.

I'll have to admit I've tried 3 of the 4. We do not have a Hardee's.

The McSkillet and Enoromous Omelett were big and filling but mostly tastless and greasy. The Sonic toasters were alright but could have been better if they didn't stick everything in those foil bags to let it get soggy and soft, defeats the purpose of toasting the bread.

I'm not much for FF breakfast, either. It was quite scary seeing all the calories/fat & carbohydrates contained in them. I am hooked on a cup of French Vanilla Coffee (General Foods, made at home) a piece of toast and sometimes oatmeal. The tin of coffee lasts almost a month, bread costs minimal and same with oatmeal. When my kids were little I used to make them Malto Meal almost every morning. (Maybe I'm going off-topic with the subject of money but geez, it would get expensive!!!)

Oatmeal, OJ and a banana most mornings- maybe 300 calories and nearly no fat. Once in a while I have eggs and sausage out at a diner or other local place that probably doesn't cost much more and tastes like real food. Are people really in such a hurry they have to eat this ff soylent green stuff?
