Favorite Breakfast to eat while driving

I wonder how many of us actually eat breakfast in the car. I know I do. Smoothies, (yes, I do live in N. CA) peanut butter toast, cheese toast, breakfast burritos. What do the rest of you eat?

Chef Susan, You can't do livermush (even a livermush biscuit) while driving.. the stuff tends to crumble all over the seat, leaving your car full of livermush crumbs. I never eat breakfast in my car: the car doesn't approve. Realizing That She Has A Mind Of Her Own, Ort. Carlton in Ever-Amazing Athens, Georgia.

Anyone yet try Sonic's either French Toast Sticks or Pancake on a Stick -- the latter fetauring a sausage link on a stick wrapped by a buttermilk pancake? Stopped at the Lightfoot, Virginia location last month and my backseat passengers of four to 12 year-olds loved 'em.

I'm not too good at eating sandwiches or biscuits while driving. But, if we do drive through food, I always order some fries and eat them while they are hot while I am driving. I can do cheese crackers pretty good, and we like to go to the beach on the day after Thanksgiving and stay for the rest of the weekend, I have been able to manage eating my Mom's pumpkin pies while driving.

If I could get 'em, it might be beignets. But since I can't, usually it's apple turnovers or chocolate covered/creme filled donuts.

Not at the same meal, mind you ... 1. Tater Tot equivalents 2. Bacon croissant sandwich sort of thing (obtainable at Burger King or Jack in the Box). 3. A latte and a croissant (see a theme here?) 4. Glazed (fresh hot ones from Krispy Kreme!) or chocolate-covered doughnuts.

I go with the Philly breakfast of choice: some sort of Tastykake and a coffee from Wawa.

I generally don't do breakfast in the car, but when I do it's something safe - like a cakey donut or crueller (nothing with a filling), munchkin type poppable donuts from Dunkin' Donuts or KK, or just a bagel with a cup of coffee.

While I'm not as big on Mickey D's as I was a few years ago, a sausage McMiffin with egg is tough to beat. I only wish they would actually toast their english muffins as opposed to the recent usual practice of holding them near the toaster for 12-15 seconds. Wally

While I'm not a big fan of Mickey-D's (I don't really think it is a real roadfood place since it is a big homogeneous chain) when I'm out early in Montana trying to fool some trout (frequently the other way around) it's hard to beat their breakfast burritos with hot sauce for an early morning drive. It might also be that I've only had these out West when on holiday so they seem special; they don't have them in NYC.

A Wrights Dairy Farm eclair with a Mt Dew, or DD sausage egg and cheese bagel with a Mt Dew or Doretos with Mt Dew. If I ate the way I wanted to, I wouldn't be here to write about it!

if im eating in the car in the morning its cause i dont have time for breakfast,so its usually something REAL easy--like donuts AND A TRAVEL CUP OF COFFEE!!I prefer to break my night time fast at my kitchen table,or a counter with a cup of coffee and the paper while i wait for that delightful waitress to bring me my two over easy with ham and bisciuts and gravy! I no longer have enough time here on earth to spend it rushing! the kids make more money then me--let THEM rush i intend to enjoy as many minutes as i can and theres little as enjoyable as a good breakfast in a warm friendly place!!!---which my car in the am is NOT!!! esp in Feb!!
