Can't believe no one has mentioned A BLT on Seeded Rye of course.
I also like a good Chopped Liver & Onion on Jewish Rye.
A good Braunsweiger is a good substitute!

I only make BLTs in the summer when the tomatoes are from the local farm.  On toasted Italian white.  It is a delicious sandwich!

I love a good BLT, but I don't like the ones with lettuce and tomato on them. Rabbits eat lettuce and tomatoes. I eat rabbits. I don't eat the food my food eats.

I'll remember that this summer when I'm eating Caprese Salad...........you can gnaw on a rabbit bone.

I'm pretty sure there's no better homemade sandwich than an after-Thanksgiving sandwich.

I keep it basic with turkey, wheat or white bread, maybe some mild cheddar, and Hellmann's mayo or Durkee's Famous sauce.

Oh, yeah! Turkey, stuffing and a slice of cranberry sauce with mayonnaise and black pepper on white bread for me.

My favorites to make are breakfast sandwiches, with eggs and breakfast meat of some type.  I use English muffins or other type of bread, and sometimes make them into a wrap, but I'm not at all into the doughnut sandwich craze. " />

For non-breakfasty sandwiches, I'm in the leftover meatloaf camp, and I also make hot meatball sandwiches.

Meatloaf on white with ketchup and a slice of sweet onion - my all-time favorite.

Layer sliced ham, hard salami, provolone, some banana peppers, olives, a couple thin tomato slices on an italian hero loaf, don't forget to brush the bread with some olive oil and good vinegar first, toast in the oven until hot

homemade meatballs and marinara with Parmesan and provolone on Italian hero roll.

Braunschweiger and sweet onion on rye, with some Gulden's mustard or hot-sweet Mr. Mustard.

Mashed up sardines, some chopped peeled seeded cucumber and a bit of diced onion, with a squirt each of lemon juice and hot sauce, on rye or white.  Great summer sandwich with a cold beer.

Sliced ripe tomato from the garden, salt and pepper, some mayo, on a soft white bread.

leftover Thanksgiving turkey with some cranberry sauce, bit of mayo, and some horseradish on white.

Tuna salad made with tuna, Hellman's or Duke's mayo, some diced celery and hard boiled egg on white.  Must serve with plan potato chips.

And of course, corned beef and pastrami on rye with mustard.

What a great thread!

As with soups, there aren't many that I don't like. I love to make club, meatloaf, breakfast, meatball, bbq etc. I guess my favorite would be roast beef po-boy. My daughters are scrambled egg with mayo and shrimp po-boy. My sons is turkey with honey mustard.

Lazy Italian beefs. Super thin roast beef from the deli, canned au jus from GFS spiked with garlic and seasonings, IL Primo extra hot giardinera on a Breadworks loaf. Everyone in Pgh swears by Mancini's, but I just love Breadworks.

Please tell me that's cocktail sauce and not ketchup...but seriously, they look great! I've determined from this thread that there is no such thing as one favorite sandwich. This one is definitely on my bucket list...another I couldn't duplicate at home.

I agree on that, but I would make it with garlicky broccoli rabe.  For some reason rabe is hard to find now.  When it shows up again I'm going to make that roast pork sandwich.

For sure...I wrongfully assumed it was rabe...didn't read it closely.

My two favorite sandwiches to make at home:
Good turkey or chicken breast, Swiss, and summer tomatoes on pumpernickel bread with mayo.
A proper Italian hoagie. We can't get good ones where I live, but we can get Amoroso rolls and good quality Italian meats. So we make them here.
