I pack Twinkies, Ding-Dongs and such for long car trips. Sometimes after 10-12 hours of driving, a sugar rush works wonders.

Hostess Twinkies helped get me through college. I ate a fried twinkie a few years ago at the Portland Rse festival fun center.

I wasn't much of a twinkie fan, but did eat my share of hostess fruit pies (cherry!) while growing up. Their sickly sticky sweetness was all I needed driving to high school in the early a.m.! Andrea

I seem to recall something in the Twinkie vein called a Dolly Madison Boston Creme Pie. It was a circular cake layer, maybe 4" across and a 1/2" thick, folded in half with a fairly thick "creme" filling inside. As I remember it, there was a vague hint of banana's. Anyone else remember these?

Anyone else remember these? Get to Dunkin' or another donut shop and get a REAL BCP. You'll never go back to Dolly or Interstate or Little Debbie or any of the plastic stuff. There's a Krispy Kreme on Highway 100 just south of Oklahoma Ave that BAKES ON SITE!! YAYYYYYY FOR SOME CHAINS!!! I do get into the strawberry, lemon and vanilla pies, because I can't get them at donut shops. Of course, you'll end up as round as I did, but that's a small price to pay to exorcise the demons of palm oil and preservatives from your soul.
