Sure, Food Network who has the "Recipe Showdown" show with Guy and Marc Summers, the winners get their recipes put on the TGIFriday menu.

Guy's food has never risen above TGI Friday levels, so this doesn't surprise me at all. In fact, it's a perfect fit.

I’m a big fan of Guy. I watch all of his shows on the Foodnetwork.

His cooking is leaps and bounds above TGIF. He is just doing it to as part of promotions for the Recipe Showdown program. It’s a great show.

However, when they say the winner’s recipe will be showcased at TGIF, every contestant they show can’t seem to mask their displeasure of their recipe being brought down to TGIF standards. All these contestants work hard on their creations. It’s almost an insult.

It’s obvious TGIF doled out a lot of cash and Foodnetwork fell for it. Typical corporate politics. Not a wise move by Foodnetwork. As for Guy, I’m sure he is not too pleased either but it is part of the job.

Bravo's Top Chef had a couple of recipes showcased on TGIFriday's menu, so FN isn't the first to be courted by them.

I hate to say it, but if I have to do a chain {with family, or other less adventurous acquaintances}, I would pick Friday's over Applebee's, O'Charley's, Olive Garden, etc.

I too, would chose Friday's over Applebee's if given the choice.

Didn't Tyler Florence team up with Applebee's?

Come on,I'm no lover of junk food places...never catch me in a Pizza hut or Applebees etc...but as a family place,Fridays is OK,maybe better than OK...decent burgers and their meals are way above Applebees, whose food always looks like it was taken off a frozen TV dinner plate. Let's face it, fast food is here to stay,so I'll give my "family" business anyway,to the better ones.
