Finally, a restaurant that did me right

Over the years, I have only had a small number of unpleasant experiences dining out. More times than not, the problem was not taken care of properly and some places lost my business forever.

Last night while dining with my wife at Amelio's here in Logansport, we came across a situation that could have been a disaster, but turned out OK.

We were seated near the rest rooms, and a large gentleman went into the mens room and left. About 10 minutes later, I couldn't help but notice the help was in and out several times acting frantic. Well to make a disturbing story short the large gentleman overflowed the toilet and the water and stench came through into the dining area.

We had alreadyplaced our orders, and we had to move away from the disaster area. The manager took us aside and said he was so sorry for the problem and would immediately pack up our dinners to go without charge.

I thought this was handled wonderfully and will be a repeat customer.

A bit of good will goes a long way in this business.

Pardon a small pun, but, Holy S*!t. I am not sure I could eat that night, in spite of the good intentions of the manager. Not that it was the restaurant's fault.

Welcome Lotus, I used to live just down the road a piece from you, southwest of Lafayette Indiana. My ex is supposed to take our boys back for a visit next Spring, I'll have to point 'em toward Amelios.
