Finally........

I happen to prefer Mustard over ketchup any day for burgers, hot dogs etc so the other day when the wife went shopping at food for less I asked her to buy me some horse radish mustard as I was out.
She brought home this..............

I have tried almost every imaginable Horse radish mustard made but this stuff is AWESOME and the best I have ever had!!  One little dab of this on anything will clear your sinuses instantly!
I have a tendency to not dab anything but rather to coat the whole bite.
I had some fried hot dogs last night with this and it was a true delight!  I can hardly wait to try it on a cheese burger now!

Yep, that's their store brand which means it's someone else's product bottled as Kroger's private label.

    Yep......  that's the tough part!
Next time she goes shopping I'm going to have her buy about another 3 or 4 bottles before and if it decides to dis-appear off the shelfs!

Just because it is a store brand does not mean it is marketed under another name. Stores commission their own brands with independent food processors. Most all of Target's brands are developed by their own teams. Many of their snack chips for instance are hard to beat and they are pretty unique. Store branding is a different game than it was 10-20 years ago.

Can't you just mix the horseradish and mustard yourself?

Unless the bottler is also the marketer, the label will rarely tell you where the product is produced. The FDA does not require it, so if it's on there, it's because the private-labeler volunteered the info. I suspect that if a national brand is bottling for a private label, there may be language in the contract prohibiting the label from indicating the bottling source.

Well if it doesn't say it on the label, just ask Michael Hoffman, he knows it all!

You have no idea how hard it was for me not to discuss not having eaten one brand, but having eaten the other many times. But this IS a family board.
