Flip up service counter

My truck is finished and licensed but I'm trying to make a few more tweaks to it. Where can I get a flip-up stainless serving counter? Looking for either an 8ft or two 4ft counters that are probably 14" deep.

Buy a SS kitchen table and rip in half, you can do this with a circular saw and carborundum blade.

I just need the stainless counter.  Given the way my wrap is setup, I'm not going to mount it permanently on the outside of the truck as it would hide too much while we are driving.

    Here is the website:

So I ordered this unit last week. Today they brought it to me as they were going to be in the area and it would save me some fees. Extremely disappointed in what I received and I ultimately didn't accept the work. I took some pictures but it was standard plywood instead of pressure treated. It came unfinished on one side and it didn't come with mounting hardware. It was made by the people who manufacture Freedom trailers. I hope they make their trailers better.

Plywood? I didn't see any flip up plywood counters on that site?  Did you order this counter?

That's the counter I ordered. It didn't come with the hardware. The part that is supposed to touch the truck when it folds up was completely exposed to the elements and had non-pressure treated plywood under the aluminum. Edges were completely rough and in my opinion it just wasn't good quality for the money.

That is a terrible way to build a shelf.

I had these guys make my flip-up. Their shelves are formed and welded from all stainless steel and the top surface does not have any seams or screws. They don't show it in their website but they make all kinds of parts and I am sure if you provided them a sketch of where you want the supports they will make it and send it to you.

They also make an excellent trailer and dog cart. I didn't have them build my trailer only because they wouldn't build one as large as I needed.

I was talking to a friend over the weekend at a local festival.
His trailer uses sections of metal bleachers he found at a junk yard.
He cut them to size and placed the mounting brackets on his trailer.
He gets to a place, takes them out of the floorboard and hangs them, and when he is done for the night he can store them inside and they don't get stolen.

They are aluminium bleachers he cut into the size he needed to fit.  they are the perfect depth and they have ridges on them for non skid.

Chinscoop, that's not as funny as you think. I have seen people at events sit their kids in a diaper on the serving shelf of concession trailers. That's why I'll never install one. Well that and people lean on them like they are a top rail on a fence. We keep the food on the counter until they pay and take their change, then we hand them the food, and our condiments are about 8 feet away so they don't block the next customer while they add mustard to a dog.

How is that post any different than you providing a link for YOUR counter company? For all we know you could own CMS Systems?

If Simplicity posts in tons of unrelated threads, then that is spam. But this thread is about "where can I get a counter", and they do windows and counters. So how is it spam?

Have a local metal shop...even a vocational school cut and bend up some polished aluminum for the shelf tops then weld some "L" brackets on it and a few pins (long screws). The pins should be on the underside of the shelf on the side that goes against the trailer. Brackets will provide the bracing and the "pins" will anchor it to the trailer.  Drill holes into the window frame so that the pins fit down in them when you pop the shelves on at your location.

They are light weight, easily cleaned and quickly sanitized (yes people do put the kids on the counter and are quickly told to remove them and then they wait until we wipe down the counter).

Because we can pop the shelves off, they are not constantly exposed to the elements and chemicals during the drive....we do events when there is snow, slush, and snow removal material on the roads.  One drawback, if they are in direct sunlight they do get extremely hot, but our windows have covers that flip up and we typically have additional shade protection for the customers so it doesn't occur often.

SR-71   - Are you kidding me? I don't own a metal fab shop. I own a kitchen and granite countertop company (the TopShop LLC) and a food service trailer (Chic-N-Scoop LLC). I bought a counter from CMS just the same as anyone else. I recieved good service from them and would like to pass that info on to others who asked for it. I have nothing to gain or loose from helping others. I am not self promoting like Simpleton Innovations. Read the rules or stick your head back in that dark hole where you keep it. I just hate being spammed.

Rules? What rules? If there are some sort of rules you want enforced, you should post them in these threads for Simplicity and others like myself to read. I looked a little bit here on the website but I don't see any rules.

Because to me, someone posting a link (whether it's for their own product or someone else's) in a relative thread isn't spam. If someone posted in this thread links to buy tires or viagra, that would spam.

if I remember correctly the rules are presented to you when you join the forum and you click and agree to the rules, and the only thing they post is promoting there own product, never a post about anything else.
