Fodor's 20 Best Dessert Spots

This article is from Oct. 2013, but I just came across it.  It contains a few classic RF places, plus some others that could be worth a visit during your travels.

Sadly, Brennan's has closed.  I'd replace their slot with Commander's, and recommend either the bread pudding souffle or the Creole cream cheese cheesecake.

I can recommend Kermit's Key Lime Pie on a stick...tart & sweet at the same time.

I don't think it could be a worth after reading that article.

Angelo Brocato should have been on the list instead of Café du Monde (not that I don't love their beignets).

Not going to Brocato's for cannoli and pastry when in New Orleans should be a felony.

With virtually every restaurant in New Orleans offering world class desserts, why would anyone trudge to du Monde at night for sugar covered fritters? They're terrific for breakfast or a snack, but are not a dessert.

I see Pastiche in Providence is mentioned. Right in Federal Hill, truly an excellent choice.

I also see Serendipity 3 in NYC was mentioned. I first went there as a child circa 1974 with one of my older brothers, my mother and her then boyfriend. At that time, they were actually known for their big juicy burgers. I returned twice, post college a decade and a half later first with a friend and then with my then girlfriend.... I remembered at that time they were famous for their "frozen hot chocolate"
