Folgers coffee

Has anyone had experiences with folgers being nonconsistant. For some reason the one I just bought seems to be coming out weak. I hope that with the economy the way it is they haven't started cutting it with filler. Called the company and got a coupon. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

    Seems to be consistent over here, but I mix it half and half with expensive beans I grind myself. Just opened a new can of Black Silk this morning. Nothing seemed amiss.

    Honestly, Folgers Coffee has always been tasteless (at least since 1992). Along with Maxwell House and all the other commercial brands. I might as well just boil a pot of hot water and call it "Folgers" its the same thing as far as I'm concerned.

    Lord I hope not,, I've been fussing with my wife about screwing up the coffee.   But when she make another pot it seems ok.

    Folgers sells whole beans, even French Roast which I'm tempted to buy.

    Now that Peets Coffee sells in stores here in the East (which happened right after my trip to Seattle a couple of years ago), we almost exclusively get Peets.

    But, we may need to save some cash soon, so I'm thinking of giving the Folger whole bean french roast a try.

    I'm a fan of Maxwell House to be honest.  I like "better" coffee, but if I am brewing coffee at home, it is always MH.

    I've read that both Folgers and MH make different coffee for different parts of the country.  The brands themselves differ, not the brand selection.  For instance, the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest have stronger coffees than the rest of the country.

    I'm beginning to think it might be my coffee pot. Bought some New England Coffee Co.coffee and having similar problems. This coffee pot has always leaked a good bit so maybe its time to say goodbye to it.

    Sometimes the coffee machine is more important than the coffee.  Your machine must be capable of bringing the water up to 200 degrees to extract the maximum flavor from the coffee.  Most machines cannot accomplish this.

    hey, I like Folgers....made in our Mr. Coffee drip maker.  It's just fine, but I'm not a coffee connoisseur.   I like the coffee from just about any roadside diner as well.  The whole Starbucks thing just escapes me, but my wife loves it.

    Funny you should mention that Folgers is tasting a bit weaker. I bought a small can day before yesterday and made a pot that night when I got home. I put the normal amount I usually do and it was a bit on the weak side. I made a pot a little while ago, using my normal amount and it was weak again :-( I thought it was my error on the first pot. I usually buy the classic blend of Folgers. Now here is the funny part lol  When I buy the french vanilla of the Folgers brand, I have to be careful because if I use the normal amount, its so strong that it can walk on it's own. hahah I love strong coffee but this is even too strong for me.
