I was reading the paper earlier and came across the name of a person called Robin Riblet. It got me wondering what other people's names had food elements to them. Any that you know of?

Dearfolk, For years, Judge Durwood Pye lived in an amazing mansion in Inman Park in Atlanta. He fought tooth and nail, but it was torn down for an expressway that was never built. Thank God somebody photographed it before it was gone. If I wasn't so hungry, I could think of dozens more. "Growwl," go my innards. My stomach must think my throat's been cut.... Rumblingly, Ort. in 30601.

Any that you know of? I worked with two people in a rather small office (which only magnified the co-inky-dink) and one had the first name Parmashawn, and another the last name Romano. I also worked at a place where there was a guy with the last name Frank and another with the surname Weiner.

I have a customer named Penny Candy. She must have really loved her husband, knowing that to marry him would be cause for a lifetime of jokes.

I knew a kid in school named Jordan Pepper. Then there was Royal Crystal -- I always called him Royal Castle. My sister went to school with sisters named Candy Mintz and Pepper Mintz.

Even though my name, Reitz, is pronounced "rights" I was always called ritz cracker in grade school. I worked with a guy years ago named Carl Pickle. He brought in his birth announcement from the newspaper when he was born, and he was delivered by a Dr Dill. From that moment on we always called him Dill Pickle. carl reitz

Years ago, when I collected sports trading cards, it bacame a trend to give a friend of mine all the cards whose player names had food in them. She once saw Chili Davis break a bat over his knee after striking out and he became her favorite player (she also liked his name). I gave her all my Chili Davis cards and eventually this led to food related name cards. She once asked me "WHY are you giving me all these cards???" but the tradition continued. I can't remember all the players' names, but Candy Moldanado (sp?) and Scott Ruffcorn are two I remember.

He was...but there was an episode on MASH where someone was teaching some of the local Korean kids how to speak English, and when they put on a show to demonstrate what they learned...they all said in unison...Frank Burns eats worms. I remember this vividly because I went to school with a guy named Phil Burns, who was a high jumper , and a pretty good one. When ever he would hit a jump at a big track meet, all his fans from my school would shout in unison...Phil Burns eats worms!! Confused the heck out of the other competitors...but I digress. Tony

My last name is McDonald. During every one of my pregnancies, some idiot would ask me, "If it's a boy, are you going to name him Ronald?" The only thing funny about it was the fact that they always thought they were the first one to think of it. My kids get teased about it alot. Especially my son, who has bright red hair, and if he goes too long between haircuts, it gets a little bushy. On another note, my former workplace once had a client whose last name was Teebaggy. They tried to convince everyone it was really pronounced "tee-bahgy" but no one bought it. I once saw a snapshot of a memorial to fallen police officers (I forget where it is, I'm sure someone here knows) and there is an "Oscar Meyer" listed on it. Don't mean to make light of the circumstances, just relating a food name. I know there are more, just can't think of them off hand.

Forget about food names. My real name is Tony Bennett. Try getting through the day with someone making a wise crack about that.

I have a friend named Alan Jackson. He says he's used to getting a dissapointed "oh" when he checks into a hotel. Somehow, the clerks at the Courtyard were primping for the country star.

In this area of the USA, the last name "Pigg" is fairly common. HOWEVER this one Pigg seemed to thrive on his fortune/misfortune of having such sir name and delightfully called himself Porky. I always sort of admired him...

My elementary school principal was Dr. Rice. I remember him because he sometimes wore pants that were unusual colors - pink or yellow. I also had a teacher named Ms. Roach (food-related in a gross way, I suppose) One of my college classmates had the surname D'Oreo.

When I worked in the tradeshow industry, I received a call after a show from a southern gentleman that introduced himself as Mr. P.C. Pancake. Swear to the heavens. Now, background: Bob calls me at regular intervals with various accents and situations and GETS ME EVERY FREAKING TIME - he is a master at it. Until he'll say he's Yul Brenner or Raymond Burr or some other odd person. Then I know it's him. Or he'll finally start laughing because I'm such the "customer service geek" - I'll try to please anyone in even the most obscure situation. So..anyway...this Mr. Pancake calls and I had just had it that day - calls from dis-satisfied exhibitors - a person with an accent that had a "mouze" ("a what??" "a mouze, a MOUZE" a what??? (a mouse) - in his booth" etc. etc. So right off the bat I start laughing at this Mr. Pancake and the guys like "why are you laughing? I am really not happy" (as I type his name into the computer and IT IS A CUSTOMER...OMG I almost died - did lots of backpeddling...then called Bob and told him he was getting "a beating" that night Not food related, but a friend married a guy who's last name is Horny...for real....

We had a Dr. Pepper at the hospital.........alcohol rehab specialist...........think he must of had an adversarial relationship with Dr. Bud Weisser from the family medicine dept. Dr Payne and Dr Butcher struck fear in the hearts of their patients and Nurse Ophielia Tiddy gave the apprehensive patients other things to contemplate. We had our share of tenderhearted pro's too. Dr Franks was kind of a weenie, and Dr. Oates a bit on the mushy side. Dr. Rice often went against the grain, Dr. Plum however was always good for a juicy tale. (and yup...we actually had all those names on staff)
