PopsDogHouse Others would be woe is me and blame corporate America for their troubles. Or the government, or immigrants, or the terrorists, or "the millions who would simply stick their hand out and ask the government to take care of them," or... But I agree with PopsDogHouse on one thing: best wishes for success!

PopsDogHouse Congratulations TrentonDog. You are head and shoulders above the millions who would simply stick their hand out and ask the government to take care of them if they were dealt the same hand. Instead, you took personal responsibility for your situation. There are also millions who always talk of having their own business but will never have the guts to do it. I have had my own company on and off for about 30 years. You will never look back. To someone like yourself who has ambition, drive, and vision, your short term hardship will turn into a blessing. Others would be woe is me and blame corporate America for their troubles. Best wishes for success! Thanks Pops! The investment in money & time to make this happen are a gamble, but I believe it is a gamble with little risk involved. I was a sole proprietor of a business for several years, but alas, that industry dried up and I ended up working for someone else. I truly believe that personal responsibility (curiously enough) lies with the individual. While we are being told that personal responsibility is paying higher taxes and letting government run more things, you and I know that this is a recipe for failure. I'm not expecting to "get rich" off of a hot dog stand. I have reasonable expectations on the income that will be generated. One thing for sure is that we will not be dependent on anyone else's decisions but our own when it comes to running this business. We will not fail, because it is not an option I am willing to consider! Thanks again for your kind words. Trent

Bruce Bilmes and Sue Boyle But I agree with PopsDogHouse on one thing: best wishes for success! Thanks Bruce. While we may not agree on some things, one thing we can agree on is some good old fashioned road food! Please don't take my political discussions personally, I just feel passionate about politics and like to debate political points with other people. My guessing at what you do (gov't worker, lawyer, etc.) should be taken as light hearted ribbing. Sometimes the intent of the message doesn't go over well in print!
