Although it probably is a little late for this, the USDA today posted a guide to what foods in your refrigerator and freezer are safe to use after the electricity has been out.
Refrigerator: http://www.foodsafety.gov/keep/charts/refridg_food.html
Freezer: http://www.foodsafety.gov/keep/charts/frozen_food.html

They also have guidelines for keeping food as long as possible after the power is out:

6star, thank you for this, but I have a wad of snow in my parking lot that is about 8 ft high. Had the power gone out, the fridge contents would go out on the porch in a laundry basket.

How much snow did Peoria get?

Our biggest chunk of snow was Wednesday a week ago.  I measured 13 inches at my house, but I think the airport registered around 18 inches.  The biggest problem was we had a lot of strong wind that day that blew it into drifts.  Everything that was plowed up into piles then is still in piles now, since we have been having temperatures below zero, though by next Monday they are forcasting a high in the 40s.  Some of the areas around here got more than we did, so we were pretty lucky.  That day they did close Interstate 74 west of Peoria to Galesburg (about 50 miles) and Interstate 155 from Morton to Lincoln (also about 50 miles) was also closed, primarily because of the drifting.  The deepest snow I can remember was around 1979, when we got something like 2 feet.
