Add "Boston Cream Pie" to the list.  It's a lot more like a cake than a pie.

With all the British references in the article I'm surprised Yorkshire pudding wasn't mentioned.

I've eaten all but two of those, some quite regularly. The funny thing for me is, we call ours kidney bean rabbit, and I am often reprimanded for not calling it Welsh rarebit. Like it matters.

A popular dish made at home here in Western PA is city chicken, which is actually pork or a pork/veal mixture.  My mother just made it a few weeks ago.  I only know one restaurant that has it on the menu.

I think city chicken is also popular in the Binghamton area of NY, no? I think you can find it on more restaurant menus there. If I recall right, Sharkey's has city chicken as one of their options, though I am not sure that we ordered when we were there.

You find city chicken in the meat cases of supermarkets in the Columbus area.

Did anyone mention these 2 biggies yet? ....

    1.   "Hot Dog" -  Obviously, not made from dog. (no North Korean jokes, please)
    2.  "Hamburger" - Not made with ham, but named after a grind of meat that was made popular in Hamburg, Germany.   When Louis Lassen of New Haven, CT put this "Hamburg" style ground meat on bread, it became the "Hamburg sandwich",  now known as the "hamburger."

    Screaming Orgasm

Never heard of it as a drink.
So, I just had to look it up.

With the notable exception of Mrs. Metro III, screamers most always put me off my game.
(It is always somewhat disconcerting for me when the 'subject female' sounded like my Meteor pinball machine about to give up multiple free games!)

Moaners at least seem to be far more genuine and sincere.
But, as a male, what do I know?
Is there a cocktail named after them?

Sure enough!  But, drink-wise i think I prefer the "Screamer"!
