raw fish, shellfish
liver ok - but no brains, heart, kidney's, Rocky Mountain oysters, pig's lips, feet, and tails( have actually eaten once, but very bony, with minuscule slivers of ham.  Too much effort to extract the meat, and then there's the eeeww factor)

I'm a big fan of trying new things and an even bigger fan of unusual foods (At least to an American). I pretty much drool for an hour straight whenever I watch bizarre foods. With that being said, I've only ever seen a handful of items I wouldn't eat. I'd have to draw the line at cat or dog (monkey too but I don't believe it is legally eaten anyway), and of all the various bugs that are eaten, I'd have to turn down Spiders or Scorpions. Oh, and I just remembered to add the partially developed embryo eggs that are popular in the Philippines. I just don't see any appeal in those.  I also can't see myself eating anything live except maybe oysters. This isn't so much for the gross factor, but rather because I'd just be uncomfortable with it from an ethical standpoint. So:

Cat
Dog
Monkey
Spider
Scorpion
Live Food (Exception Maybe Oysters)
Partially Developed Egg Embryos

Outside of that, I'm pretty much game for anything. Funny enough the foods I see listed in this forum are either on my "must try" list or are foods I already know I enjoy.

It's amazing how many people hate fish and seafood. I'm obsessed with them. I could literally eat them every day. If only I live on a tropical island with fresh fish every day. Scrumptious!

For me, I just can't eat really sour tomatoes.

I think the dislike of seafood by  a lot of people is for 2 reasons: ....

1.  A lot of people are allergic to shellfish, or more specifically crustaceons (lobster, crab, shrimp, etc.)

2.  A lot of people, myself included, don't mind fish.  What we don't like is "fishiness", or a strong fish flavor.  I'll eat cod, haddock, pollock, halibut, yellowtail snapper, grouper, and a few others.   But, I avoid the stinky, smelly, fishy ones such as salmon, bluefish, mackeral,  etc.

"(S)tinky, smelly, fishy ones" are that way because they're not fresh. Fresh fish always has a fresh smell.

I beg to differ.   Again, it depends on the fish.   When I lived in RI, my father and I caught fresh bluefish.    It was cooked within hours of being fresh caught.   It was still extremely fishy.    Even the whole house smelled like fish for a day or two after cooking it.   Not a problem when we fresh caught flounder, which was not fishy.  Tasted great.

Boy, I don't know. I grew up catching bluefish on Long Island Sound, and I sure never found a bluefish that didn't taste and smell like it came right out of the water -- briny and fresh. There's always a problem when baking bluefish. It's very oily. Broiling and grilling work best.

Maybe it's a matter of level of tolerance of fishiness or sensititvity to it.  I am very picky about it.   To me, bluefish is very oily and fishy.   Basically to me, a good fish is a fish that, ..well, ... doesn't taste like fish.  :)

I can't do anything "gamey". And creamed chipped beef on toast. That's a family favorite that everyone likes except me.

Also, I refuse to prepackaged hamburger patties. Or the ground beef that comes out of the tubes. I guess I've become a little funny about meat and poultry after learning how it's processed.

Of common foods, I really dislike watermelon. I have never liked it, and don't understand why literally everyone else does. It's weird tasting, has a strange texture, and even gives me headaches. I have tried to like it and have tried to eat it in adulthood, but just hate it. I am a Chinese teacher and have polled every class if they like watermelon, and about 98% do.

I dont eat much fish, although I do like catfish, fishsticks and a good fast food fishwich. One reason is that my father hated fish of any kind, even catfish and shellfish.  My problem with fish is that I dont like seeing the scales, and also having to pick through tiny bones. I did have a kick ass fish filet in a restaurant here in China. It was a bright yellow patty, it looked so pretty that I wanted to try it. I don't eat oysters and crabs either. Lobster on the other hand, kicks ass. But lobster is for rich folks and special occasions.

Boiled peanuts. They are absolutely awful. Sickly mushy, lost all of its flavor, just pure yuck.

I dont drink coffee that much. As a matter of fact, I did not know how to work a coffee maker until adulthood. I have bought ONE item from a Starbucks coffee, and it was a piece  of chocolate cake (and it was good).  If I need a "pick me up" I will drink Mountain Dew soda.

I don't eat offal. I certainly would not eat the testicles of any animal. I will only eat lamb, beef, pork, and chicken. Duck is OK (Roast Beijing Duck is great, and I have had it in Beijing!).

All Offal. My mother made the most disgusting kidney stew. Kidney bits like little rocks with thin gravy. oy. ...  [In the 60's, one fed one's children food RICH IN NUTRIENTS. mostly horrible.] One summer, we decided to bury it behind the garage. Unfortunately, the rats found it. As did the parents. haha.
