Framingham Massachusetts

In June I am going to briefly be staying in Framingham.  Are there any must-try roadfood places nearby?

Casey's Diner (in neighboring Natick) -- an original Worcester Lunch Car Company product
located at 36 South Avenue. (See: http://www.hotdogstories.com/2010/07/casey-diner.html.)

    Hey Don,

    I had a great lunch at J & M Diner.

The owner is a foo foo chef turned diner owner.

As a resident, should have better info for you, but Framingham is slim pickins.  The best Fram restaurant is Aegean  on COchituate rd. for Greek food. Delicious char grilled lamb and steak, great sides of lemon potatoes, dessert of galaktoborekas.
J and M is very good.
There is a new Mexican across from Aegean called La Carretta which is good; the melted cheese dip app is very good. There is a Kellys roast beef on route 9 in Jordans Furniture; just ok. part of the chain. Locally, there is Wayside Inn in Sudbury, historic inn, very good kind of stodgy food and atmosphere. good value all inclusive meals. There is a fairly good deli Zaftigs in Natick in the christmas tree shop strip mall. Other than that, go into boston!

MiamiDon, you are only about 10 miles from Wlatham or Marlborough.  Both fantastic RF destinations.

Or take the 20 mile ride into East Boston and visit Rino's.  I consider this place the best restaurant in MA.  I had the lobster ravioli last night......incredible.

I grew up in Natick. Framingham used to have a great number of super restaurants. Caseys in Natick is still good but not like it used to be. Most food in Framingham is Brazilian or Mexican....

There are quite a few Brazilian restaurants in the area. Many serve the Brazilian style BBQ buffet where you select different types of BBQ meat.  Cafe Belo and Terra Barsilis are pretty good. Now these aren't like the high-end ones like Fogo de Chao but they are as pricey.

Try Harry's Restaurant in neighbouring Westborough - straight up Route 9, it will be on your right and you can't miss it!

Great seafood, great diner fare, great atmosphere.  You can check out the menu on their website:  harrysrestaurant.com

There's some decent BBQ very close to where you are, Firefly's.  It won't remind you of Memphis, but is pretty good nonetheless.

The wife and I went to the J&M Diner last Sunday.  My wife had eggs benedict and I had a western omelet.  The food was great!the wait was about 30 minutes.  Larger parties waited longer.

I have also been to firefly's the bbq was very good but not as good as the Blue Ribbon or   Red Bones.
